Efforts remain underway to see the ratification of the 4+4 Committee agreement in Libya’s dual houses, but they are running into the petty banality of Libyan politics, as the High Council of State (HCS) drags its feet and the HCS and the House of Representatives (HoR) leaders have a surprise announcement in Ankara. The international community continues to clearly indicate that it wants to see the agreement through, as the U.S. and United Nations try to push forward with their respective processes.

- The High Council of State (HCS) voted to revoke the membership of Abduljalil Al-Shawish and Ali Abdulaziz over their roles as part of the 4+4 Committee negotiations, signalling the HCS’s disapproval of the agreement.
- The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) released a statement calling for the implementation of the 4+4 Agreement, indicating broad international support for seeing the deal through to completion.
- HCS head Mohammed Takala and Speaker of the House of Representatives Agilah Saleh met with the head of Turkish Intelligence, İbrahim Kalın, in Ankara. The two released a joint statement saying that the political process must remain within existing processes, and announced that Turkey would host future meetings of the previously defunct 6+6 negotiations.
